The channel (a teaser)
A tall, slender, pale, and blond man sits next to a short, barrel-chested, and olive-skinned man with dark hair in ringlets, almost dreadlocks. Each faces the camera. The thin man has the slight anxiety of a facilitator, the broad man is either irritated or implacable.
The pale man begins: “Okay, next we have a question from a reader, who wonders about how he can impress the ladies while being a little south of five foot ten. He says he wants to settle down, but he can’t be a short-king without a short-queen- and the apps are brutal. Thoughts Bhraeter-Sawos?”
“n̥gʷhṭí-dʰugʰóm dróghom dʰégʷʰmi!* *tú, wiHrós sm̥iḱós pód-déḱm̥ né-gʷn̥tós, ḱléwos gʷerh₃, né pód-gʷih₁n̥! bʰér ḱléwóm, bʰér dʰughóm, wl̥kʷós-ménos sye!* *méh₁n̥tóm ḱléwos gʷerh₃ti, né déḱm̥ pódm̥ — h₁r̥tḗr gʷn̥éti!* *áu̯e! áu̯e!* *éǵh₂ dróghom h₃rudʰróm w̥éyḱmi; ḱléwos-yo dʰughóm bʰórō, wl̥kʷós-bʰréh₂ter-seh₂wós!* *h₁estó! bʰér! ḱléwós sye, wl̥kʷos kréwkʷe, wiHrós-réǵs!*”
“Sawos, we’ve talked about...”
Sawos glowers and begins to speak haltingly.
“People now call me short, once I was thought tall. It is no matter. The strength of your heart can strengthen your arms, the strength of your arm wins the praise of men, and such soon attracts the admiration of maidens.”
The slender man smiles with real happiness- progress.
“Well, that’s about all we have time for, Sawos and Alex signing out!”
By instinct far more ancient than one might expect, Bhraeter-Sawos speaks, “Never let yourself forget to smash that ‘like’ and ‘subscribe’!”
The camera light turns off.
I love that bronze, or whatever it is at the bottom of the post. Beautiful.
I have one short son. The rest are tall. I do not understand where women get the nerve to ask for a tall guy, and also object to men wanting them to be slimmer, or prettier.
Although we can generally control how slim we are, we can't really control how tall or pretty we are. My tallest son isn't married. We live in a very weird age. Character and personality are what you are going to live with and notice every day. Not how tall your man is. Man....so much dumb.
