An aid, not so much for divination of the future as for knowledge of the self, and for contemplation of a situation.
Roll a d4. Do this four times, then look up the number corresponding to what you’ve rolled- that’s your first word. Do it another three times- that’s your next three words. Now contemplate your four words. Think about the interconnections between them. Or make them into a poem. Or paint a scene. Whatever suits. Uses them together and separately as lenses into the object of scrutiny- and into whatever they call you to scrutinise. Understand each concept in whichever way helps, and if possible, in multiple ways.

Well I tried it (using this: https://www.calculator.net/random-number-generator.html) and it decoded to "Gorilla Abuse Alliance Sadness" which strikes me as clearly about ICE in Minneapolis: a bunch of abusive gorillas are in an alliance, about which we are all sad. So this checks out, I guess.
